Prof Rastle interviewed for Nature news feature

Posted on 22/10/2013
A recent article in Nature discusses the upcoming Research Excellence Framework (REF). The REF, due to take place throughout 2014, is a large-scale assessment of the quality of research taking place at UK universities. Prof Kathy Rastle, the Head of Research at Royal Holloway's Department of Psychology, was interviewed for the feature. She describes how our department has strengthened its research profile by appointing promising early-career researchers to lectureships with a managed teaching workload and involving close research mentorship from senior colleagues. Prof Rastle is quoted in the article: "I look forward to the REF as an opportunity to show what we've done, and to move up the ranks." You can read the article here.
