In the beginning was the Word. But how do readers extract meaning from printed words – 
mere squiggles on a page – eevn wehn the ltteers are jmbueld up?
In this lecture Professor Colin Davis will discuss research that aims to uncover the cognitive 
mechanisms underlying this ability.
