Experimental Probes for Topological Materials

Posted on 11/03/2011

On 18 and 19 February 2011, an Advanced Working Group on Experimental Probes in Topological Materials met at Royal Holloway. Theorists and experimentalists discussed methods of identifying the distinctive manifestations of topological phases and boundary states in real materials. Experimentalists were given the opportunity to carefully scrutinise the most promising theoretical proposals, whilst theorists discovered more about the experimental settings and techniques available.

The meeting was organised by (RHUL), (RHUL) and Jorge Quintanilla (University of Kent) and was attended by over 20 participants from around the world.
