Using LaTeX in the department

This set of pages will hopefully allow someone with no prior knowledge of LateX to get to grips with TeXnic Center (the editor we have installed on the Physics department computers) through a series of easy and quick tutorials and to learn how to build a well set-out lab-report within a couple of hours.

First thing's first - open a program called TeXnic Center which is accessed via any PC in the lab or on campus:

This will open our editor which we use to program input to our documents and to build PDFs. The blank white dialog section in the top right of the program is where we input our code.

Please refer to the tutorials in the menu on the right to begin coding your report!
