LaTeX - Mac installation guide
LaTeX can be installed on a Mac in three easy steps:
- Go to http://www.tug.org/mactex/
- Download the MacTex Package
- Once the download in finished open the zip archive (using a decompression program such as WinRAR archiver) and run the installer (MacTeX-2010.mpkg)
This package includes
TeXShop - a program that contains everything you need to create and compile full LaTeX documents. Please refer to the program's website for full configuration instructions.
The LaTeX markup language used on Mac is the same as that of Windows so please refer to the tutorials in the menu to the right for guidance.
