CAPS 2013 is to be proudly hosted by Royal Holloway University of London, which welcomes all members to stay on our picturesque campus. You will have your choice of a double en suite room in Wedderburn Hall, hidden in the woods of RHUL campus where the deer herds roam free, or a single room in the famous Founders Building, set for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where you just might stumble across a secret passage or the ghost of Jane Holloway.
The main conference will take place on the weekend of Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June, with arrivals and social events on the prior Friday evening and an optional day to tour our department and local area on Monday 1st July.
This year, our platinum sponsor is the South East Physics Network (SEPnet); an organisation with many shared goals whose staff will be present to discuss further cooperation as well as help students make the most of their university experience with information about outreach and graduate programs.
Tickets will consist of a compulsory registration fee for either three or four days, with optional bed and breakfast to be purchased separately from the same location. See the above links for further information on accommodation options. Prices will vary depending on the form of accommodation you prefer and length of your stay, but all attendees will receive the following with the registration fee:
Lunch and dinner, with intervening refreshment breaks.
T-shirt and conference materials.
Opportunity to give a talk with microphone and dual projector system provided.
Awards (should you win them) at the formal awards meal on Saturday 29th (bring a suit).
The chance to discuss ideas with other students, as well as lecturers and staff from our department and sponsors.
Places are limited, both overall and in Founders building so book quickly. Registration closes Friday 14th June.
