Seminars, colloquia and special lectures

Seminars are held almost every week during term time organised by the Particle physics and Condensed matter groups. The seminars and usually topical and advanced talks on subjects of interest to the research groups. All members of the department are invited to attend, especially research and masters students. Undergraduate students are also invited to attend, especially when the topic is related to either a final year project or research review. Although the level of the talk might be too advanced for all undergraduates.

The special lectures and colloqia are generally for a wider audience, including all students and indeed college members. They are less frequent but usually involve accessible subjects within Physics.
