Frequently asked questions
Is it just a repeat of A-level?
No, we teach you the skills you need to study at university, and increase your subject knowledge so that you can cope with your degree programme.
How will I be assessed?
You will have the type of assessments that you will face in your degree, so coursework for Arts and Humanities, exams and other assessments for STEM subjects
How many hours of teaching do I have a week?
11-15 hours a week, depending on which course you are studying
What type of teaching sessions will I have?
You will have a mix of lectures, seminars, workshops and practical sessions
Will we be based on the University campus?
Yes, you are a university student with access to all the facilities, societies and clubs that all other students have
What is the best thing about a Foundation Year?
