Music (BMus)

Our annual undergraduate intake is around 65 full-time equivalent students who study a range of exciting degree courses, including music as a major subject either on its own or with another subject, including Modern Languages, Philosophy, Political Studies or Psychology or as a joint degree with Drama, Mathematics or Modern Languages. Music can also be taken as a minor subject with Economics, Modern Languages or Physics.

Flexible Core course units: BMus students choose 8 half-unit courses, one from each list below. Music Joint Honours students (50% Music) choose 4 half-unit courses to include as least one from List A and no more than one from List E. Music as a Major students (75% Music) choose 6 half-unit courses to include at least one from List A and no more than one from List E. Music as a minor students (25% Music) choose 2 half-unit courses and may not choose any from List E.

Choose courses to the value of 4 units, to include at least 4 half-unit courses from the following list:

Plus Intermediate or Honours Options from the list specified each year, to bring your total number of courses up to 4 units, with a maximum of 1 unit at Honours level.
