Over recent years, many changes have taken place in the study of music at both school and university levels, but relatively little communication has taken place between these sites of learning. It has become increasingly apparent that much has to be gained for both schools and universities from their closer interaction.
In an effort to stimulate dialogue between school and university teachers, the Music Department of Royal Holloway, University of London invites teachers of A-level, IB and BTEC music to audit a range of its standard lectures and seminars on the 8th, 9th and 11th March 2010.
These will be normal teaching days, where no changes will be made to standard classes. Therefore, to avoid disruption to student learning, places will be limited and require booking in advance. Please see the timetable of lectures/seminars/rehearsals open for auditing. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
To book places to audit specific classes, please email email@example.com stating course number and name, as well as day and time. Deadline for bookings: 3.00pm, Thursday 4th March.
