Online resource for the study of medieval song manuscripts

Posted on 31/08/2011

Helen Deeming has received grants from the British Academy, the Music & Letters Trust and Royal Holloway Arts Faculty to develop an online resource for the study of medieval song manuscripts. The source, which will include digital images of twelfth- and thirteenth-century manuscripts, alongside newly-prepared catalogue descriptions and analyses of their notations, will make Helen’s research on these little-known sources widely available to students and scholars through the open-source environment of the Digital Image Archive of Medieval Music (http://www.diamm.ac.uk).
