New Harpsichord

Posted on 14/06/2012

Dr Stephen Rose and Wooderson Harpsichord

The Music Department is proud to announce the arrival of its new harpsichord. Built by Andrew Wooderson, the new instrument is based on a single-manual Flemish design of 1679 by Joseph Joannes Couchet. The purchase of the harpsichord was made possible thanks to a kind legacy gift from a former member of staff and alumna of the College.

The harpsichord will feature in a series of workshops and concerts in the 2012–13 academic year – please contact Stephen Rose for more information.
