Institute of Musical Research

The Institute of Musical Research (IMR), formerly part of the School of Advanced Studies, is now supported by Royal Holloway, University of London, and directed by Dr. Geoff Baker. It continues to be based at Senate House in central London. The institute aims to serve the national community of music researchers, and its steering committee and advisory board consist of scholars from across the UK, representing a variety of branches of music studies.

The IMR’s new website provides details of the institute’s events, activities, and services. It is also intended to serve as a hub for information about events in music studies across the UK. A full list of upcoming IMR events can be accessed here. Conference and seminar listings may be sent to imr@rhul.ac.uk.IMR_Banner
