GM1010 Intensive German for Beginners I

Terms 1 and 2

Assessment:

Oral Examination: 50%, Written Examination: 50%

Overview:

GM1010 is an intensive language course (5 hours / week) for those with no prior knowledge of German. By the end of the year, students will reach A2, 1 (CEFR) standard. After completing the course successfully, they will be able to understand common phrases and expressions relating to: basic personal and familial information, employment, and local geography. They will be able to communicate about familiar and routine matters, and carry out tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information.
