‘Cultural Responses to the Holocaust in Italy’
Author of The Holocaust in Italian Culture, 1944–2010, the first major study of how post-war Italy confronted, or failed to confront, the Holocaust, Professor Gordon will explore aspects of Italian national identity and memory after the Second World War, offering a new model for analyzing the interactions between national and international images of the Holocaust.
