Guido joined Royal Holloway in 2010 on a temporary basis. In 2005 he completed his doctorate in EU and comparative employment law, which he wrote and researched at the European University Institute (EUI) of Florence (Italy) and the University of Oxford. He worked as a Lecturer and a Research Assistant at the University of Florence and the EUI respectively. He was a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow at the EUI (2006/07) and he had previously worked as a solicitor and HR Legal Counsel at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt am Main). He is a graduate of Florence University Law School (2001).
