HRM in the knowledge economy

The School of Management hosted the eighth British Academy of Management HRM Special Interest Group conference on 5th and 6th May. The theme of this year’s meeting was on ‘HRM in the knowledge economy’. The event was attended by about 40 leading HR researchers from across the UK and some from continental Europe. Keynote talks were given by Professor Phillip Brown (Cardiff University), Professor John Delery (University of Arkansas) and Professor Tim Morris (Oxford University). These and a series of excellent papers stimulated lively exchanges during the the two days.

The conference was organised by Professor Alice Lam with the help of several colleagues and doctoral students from the School's Human Resource Management and Organisation Studies group.
