EACR 2010, hosted by the the School of Management's Marketing Group, was acclaimed by delegates as a great intellectual experience. The conference was chaired by Dr Alan Bradshaw, Prof Chris Hackley and Prof Pauline MacLaran (see photo), ably assisted by colleagues and a phalanx of outstanding student helpers. More than 350 international scholars presented their research over three days, and a doctoral colloquium attracted keynote speakers including: Professor Linda Scott of Oxford Said Business School, Professor Steven Gould of the City University of New York and Professors Rob Kozinets, Russel Belk and Marcus Geisler of Schulich Business School, York University, Toronto.
In addition to the poster and paper presentations, a film festival documented such issues as eco-consumer activism in Brazil and the re-construction of Shangri-La as a tourism site in Tibetan China.
