At the Egham Royal Show, which took place on the 25th and 26th of August, staff and students were able to offer a range of information and activities for anyone interested in our research, practice and teaching around sustainability.

Laura Spence, Professor of Business Ethics in the School of Management said:
"It was a delight to have the opportunity to meet so many local people interested in sustainability. Even some classic British summer rain didn't put a damper on the atmosphere!"
The new sustainability zone at the Show, sponsored by British Gas under the ‘smarter living’ banner, was organized by local eco-preneur, and CRIS supporter, Peter Archibald. Royal Holloway's manager for energy and sustainability, Anna Kosteletos found lots of opportunity to tell visitors about her pioneering work at the College. She commented:
“The Egham Royal Show was a great opportunity to meet local residents and staff and to tell them what we have been doing to improve our environmental performance over the last few years.”
The Egham Royal Show, under the patronage of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, is a major event locally with thousands of visitors daily, and is actively supported by the Principal and the Events Department at Royal Holloway. The team representing Royal Holloway at this year’s Show would like to thank all those colleagues from across the College who contributed behind the scenes to support our involvement and to make it such a success.
