Your Library over Summer 2017
Over the summer the library collections and staff are moving into the new Library in the Emily Wilding Davison Building.
There will continue to be a library service throughout the summer and we'll keep you updated on any changes through this page and on Twitter and Facebook.
There will continue to be occasional minor disruption to silent study areas throughout the period leading to the migration but we are doing all we can to minimise disturbance and thank everyone for their patience while we move to our new home!
The Ground Floor of the new Library is now open for users between 9am and 5pm every day until further notice. Founders library will then be open as a study space between 5pm and 9am the next morning.
Book fetching service:
Any items labelled 'high use' on the catalogue can be collected directly from the shelves by the users, while items from the general collection must be requested at the desk. We will aim to process any desk requests as quickly as possible, however it would be best for users to request items as far in advance as possible to avoid disapointment.
All hold requests must now be collected from the new library between 9am and 5pm.
Due to stock moves, there may be some delay in retrieving items in the General section 827-828 and Oversize 827-999
PCs, Laptops, Printing and Photocopying
All PCs have now been moved from both Bedford and Founder's Libraries. The laptop cabinets have been moved from Bedford Library There are laptops available in Founders and Student PCs in the Computer Centre.
Six of the MFDs from Bedford Library were moved on the 5th September, so the remaining printers will be busier than usual. There are a number of MFDs in the Computer Centre.
The Library and the College are working together to provide you with additional spaces to study during the move. For a range of additional study options across campus visit Library@.
