We have subscriptions to large archival collections of newspapers. You can find links to these collections in the E-resources A-Z list.
You can search through the archived content of most currently published newspapers and news publications via Proquest Newspapers or Nexis Global News and Business Service. Proquest is very good for UK newspapers, while you will find that Nexis has a greater range of news publications and is especially good for non-English language newspapers.
If it's historical news content you're interested in, we have some great historical newspaper archives. Take a look, for example, at the 17th - 18th Century Burney Collection Newspapers, or The Times Digital Archive.
We take the major UK daily newpapers such as The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph and The Times. We only have the latest issues in the Library because the back issues are available electronically.
Non-English language newspapers (Die Zeit, Le Monde and Corriere della Serra) are kept in the School of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures.
We also take specialist news magazines and publications such as The Economist, The Times Higher Education Supplement, The Times Literary Supplement, New Scientist and Scientific American.
