Using our e-resources
As well as printed material, the library has a wide range of electronic resources, many of which can be used on and off campus by RHUL staff and students. Using library e-resources will help you to study and research using quality academic sources that are reliable and regularly updated.
Use LibrarySearch - an information gateway, like an online library - to search for and access articles and books from our collections of online journals, online databases, websites and e-books.The Library Catalogue also includes online journals and e-books, but cannot be searched for individual articles as LibrarySearch can.
You can also directly search specialised collections of e-materials relevant to your subject. The E-resources A-Z contains links to all the external sites with collections to which Royal Holloway subscribes.
Find It / View online
When searching the Library Catalogue or e-resources such as Web of Knowledge you will come across 'Find It' links. 'Find It' is a piece of software which allows you to access the full-text of a journal article if available. By clicking on the 'Find It' link a window will appear in which you can choose the first full-text option to link through. On LibrarySearch, instead of 'Find It' the link says 'View online'.
If full-text is not available this option will not be displayed. Instead you will be able to choose another link such as to check within the library's holdings, to check the holdings of other libraries, or to 'Ask a Librarian for help'.
