The Roy Waters Theatre Collection Exhibition

Posted on 14/09/2011

The Roy Waters Theatre Collection, bequeathed to Royal Holloway in 2010, is an impressive collection of theatrical ephemera including autograph letters, programmes, photographs, playbills, prints and artefacts amassed over forty years by the teacher and school inspector, Roy Waters. The material reflects his varied interests, which ranged from miniature theatre to the careers of well known names such as Noel Coward and Oscar Wilde.

A project is underway to catalogue the collection, making it accessible to the staff and students of Royal Holloway and the wider research community. Updates will appear on our online catalogue: www.rhul.ac.uk/archives

An exhibition, featuring highlights from the collection, will be running from 19th-23rd September in the Archives reading room.

Come along to the exhibition to discover more.
