Can I access my Y drive on an Android device not using the VPN?

Can I access my Y drive on an Android device not using the VPN?
Answer:

Yes. WebDAV (Internet file access) enables you to view, download and upload your files on the Royal Holloway Network without a VPN connection.

Prerequisites

  • WebDAV client software from the Play Store

Steps to add a connection

In this example we have used - WebDAV Navigator lite

Open the WebDAV client software.
Add a name for your connection, server address is https://webdav.rhul.ac.uk/. Your username and password then save the settings. 

Tap the connection you have saved to connect.

 

Connect via WebDAV to the RHUL network.
