Web pages on the (W:) drive - How do I view these over the Internet?

Question:
Web pages on the (W:) drive - How do I view these over the Internet?
Answer:

The URL (this is the name of the webpage that goes in the top bar of your Internet browser) for the web pages (or other material) that you have saved to the (W:) drive is:

http://personal.rhul.ac.uk/abcd/123/filename.html

Where:
abcd123 is your username.
filename.html is the filename of the webpage you wish to display. This is optional, if omitted you will see all files in this location.

Note: The system holding your web pages is set to look for, and if found display, a file called index.html.  Therefore if you save your first web page to load as index.html you do not need to include the filename in the URL (however for all other web pages you do).

Remember:  Any file you place on your (W:) drive can be viewed by anybody over the Internet, and therefore the (W:) drive is not a secure storage area. If you do not want people to see particular files do not put them on your (W:) drive!

Also remember, you're responsible for the contents of your (W:) drive, and you alone will be held accountable for any material considered offensive.
