For Royal Holloway Staff email use the following procedure:
- With no other email accounts setup, choose the email icon/tile from the home page.
- Choose the advanced setup icon (not outlook/exchange)
- On next screen entered staff email address e.g. email@example.com and network password.
- On next screen choose Exchange ActiveSync
- On next screen for username made sure full email address (e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org) was in this field.
- Password it remembered from previous screen
- For the server field entered - outlook.office365.com
- Made sure the tick box that says “server requires encrypted ssl connection” was ticked.
- On next screen choose which items (Email, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks) to sync.
