Version History - What does it show me?

Question:
Version History - What does it show me?
Answer:

Contensis supports multiple version control. Every time a page is published it becomes a new version, but the previous versions are still available.

The version number of the latest (current Edit Version) can be seen in the top left corner of the screen.

To see previous versions:

  • Click on the Version History tab.

The following information for every version will be shown:

  • version number
  • date created
  • current live or current edit version (where applicable).

You can select any version by clicking on the required version number in the list on the left hand side and the relevant version information displays on the right side.

Contensis also tracks any editing or structural changes that you make to your web pages and these changes can be displayed when you compare two versions using the Track Changes icon in the Editor Tool bar.
