Folder Homepage - Why do I need a folder homepage?

Question:
Folder Homepage - Why do I need a folder homepage?
Answer:

For website users to easily find things, a menu should be able to access the content of any folders displayed.

To do this, there must be a homepage selected for any given folder.  Without this, the system would not know which page in the folder to open when the folder is chosen at menu level.

This option is only available if you have Folder Administrator permissions enabled:

  • click on the Page in the project explorer
  • select Make Folder Homepage from the menu.

menu

After refreshing the project explorer you will see that the page icon has changed to indicate that this is now the Folder Homepage

If it is no longer needed, the Folder Homepage can be removed:

  • click on the Home Page in the project explorer
  • select Remove Folder Homepage from the menu.
