Visualisation of Security via Gameplay

Posted on 18/01/2017

Security games are powerful tools for visualising complex security problems and engaging multidisciplinary teams to solve them. Professor Keith Mayes recently commissioned two short films to display the use of games to look at information security and cyber security issues.

The first film is from Zachary Peterson, Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Cal Poly. The second film is by Andreas Haggman, PhD Student in the Centre for Doctoral Training in Cyber Security at Royal Holloway, University of London. Both films show how games can be used to visualise issues via examples of 'attack and defence' scenarios and communicate to non-technical people who are vital in implementing security solutions.

The films are now available on the ISG Official YouTube Channel.
