ISG Academics represent RHUL at RSA 2012 (27 Feb – 2 Mar 2012)

Posted on 11/03/2012

The annual RSA conference is the largest information security event in the world with up to 20,000 delegates. It includes 20 tracks on various topics such as security in the cloud, mobile devices and new products, with sessions at all levels from basic to advanced. The ISG was doubly represented this year in San Francisco at the Cryptographers' Track, whose proceedings are published in the Springer Lecture Notes. Jean Paul Degabriele presented joint work with Kenny Paterson and others about the security of EMV when using the same key pair for both signature and encryption, and Colin Walter spoke about some new techniques in exponentiation. A former post-doctoral research assistant of Kenny, Pooya Farshim, also spoke about some joint work on homomorphic encryption for use in outsourcing computation.
