The details are as follows:Date: Thursday 23 February 2017 @ 11:00 GMTSpeaker: Professor Jason CramptonTitle: Languages for Attribute-based Access ControlAbstract: There are many proposals in the literature for languages with which to specify attribute-based authorization policies. In this talk we review these proposals and identify ways in which such languages might be improved. We then discuss how work on completeness and canonical forms in multi-valued logics can be used to develop new languages for attribute-based access control that avoid the shortcomings of existing languages.Abstract: Jason Crampton is a professor in the Information Security Group at Royal Holloway. His research focuses on various aspects of access control, including languages for authorization policies, cryptographic access control, expressive power of access control models, and the complexity of decision problems arising in access control.
