Dean is Chief Executive of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, part of the Lloyds TSB Group. He joined SWIP in 2008 from HSBC Investments, where he had been Chief Executive Officer, HSBC Investments UK & Middle East since 2001.

Prior to that, he was Chief Investment Officer, Equities, Europe for HSBC for six years. Before joining HSBC, Dean worked for Prudential Assurance for 14 years in a variety of fund manager roles at Prudential Portfolio Managers.

Dean has been a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries since 1987.

Piers is Head of Product Management for Huntsman Security. He provides high-level strategic input to the development and deployment of Huntsman solutions and thought leadership on security trends such as threat intelligence, security operations, automated threat resolution and the Internet of things (IoT).

Piers has been part of the information security industry since 1995. Before joining Hunstman, he was in the senior team leading the cyber security practice within Risk Assurance at PricewaterhouseCoopers. There he advised clients, often at board level, around emerging technology risk with focus on security visibility and monitoring, data loss prevention, cloud security and mobility.

Piers is a director of the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP), a member of the talent management committee of the UK Cyber Security Challenge, a CLAS consultant, a full member of the IISP and chartered member of the BCS. He has extensive experience presenting at conferences and events, and is the author of numerous articles and papers on information security.
