This training course, which is a national accredited course by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), is intended for Health and Safety Co-ordinators, managers or anyone who manages risks within the College.
Following this training, managers will be able to implement effective safety management systems and arrangements necessary to meet the requirements of the College’s Health and Safety Policy and its associated policy and procedure documents. In the case of departmental Health and Safety Co-ordinators, this course will enable them to assist their Head of Department to meet the above requirements.
Delegates will also be able to understand best practice in health and safety, carry out risk assessments and identify common hazards, review their own departmental systems for health and safety, and introduce new controls or implement changes to make their department work more safely. In undertaking the above, all delegates will be able to contribute to the achievement of legislative and best practice standards and the development of a positive departmental and corporate ‘Safety Culture’.
