The course is designed for those undertaking the role of departmental Display Screen Equipment Assessor. It is a role designed to assist heads of department to implement effective management arrangements necessary to meet the requirements of the College's Health and Safety Display Screen Equipment Policy and Procedure. In undertaking this role, they will gain the necessary knowledge and expertise to conduct risk assessments using the College workstation assessment form, advise staff on the minimisation of risk from display screen work, and be able to identify and take remedial action where risks are identified.
