Office moves

There are several types of room moves within the College structure, details of which are given below:

1. Moving within a departmental space (department-driven)

To request a move within a department, where no structural changes are required, the department must fill in the Movers Request form below. This form must be signed by your Head of Department and include the reason for the requested move.

The form should then be sent to the Secretary of the Space Sub-Committee who will sign and authorise it. This information is passed to the CAFM System Administrator and a copy will be sent back to your department informing you that the request has been approved. The Computer Centre, Telephone Manager Porters and Security will all be informed. Download the Movers Request Form.

2. Moving where structural change is required

To request a move within a department, where structural change is required (i.e. change in the physical layout of a building - merging of space, or additional partitions etc.), the Room Changes Request form below should be used.

The form should then be sent to the Secretary of the Space Sub-Committee for presentation to the Space Sub-Committee for authorisation. No work is to be undertaken without authorisation.

This information is passed to the CAFM System Administrator and a copy will be sent back to your department informing you that the request has been approved. The Computer Centre, Telephone Manager and Security will all be informed. Download the Room Changes Request Form.

3. Additional space (for new members of staff or through expansion) required outside of department allocation

A written paper must be submitted to the Space Sub-Committee or for Chair's action. If successful, the Room Changes Request form should be originated by your Department and the above procedure followed. No move or work should be undertaken without authorisation.
