Discovery offers new treatment for epilepsy

Scientists from Royal Holloway, led by Dr Robin Williams, in collaboration with University College London have identified specific fatty acids that could be used to create a pill for both children and adults with epilepsy. It is hoped that these new drugs will be able to control the symptoms of epilepsy without the side-effects that occur when people follow a diet containing the specific fatty acids.
