Could history hold the key to avoiding conflict in India and Pakistan?

Dr Dan Haines from the History department at Royal Holloway has been awarded £225,000 to examine the history of the Indus Basin, which is used by both India and Pakistan for irrigation of crops and to generate hydroelectric power, to see if he can help prevent future conflicts between both countries.
