Review of office printing requirements

Posted on 13/05/2013

Royal Holloway is conducting a review of office printing arrangements as a step towards using resources more sustainably and cost effectively in future.

An information gathering exercise to assess printing requirements in departments will be carried out in June by M2, a company with print audit expertise. IT Services will be contacting each department and service area initially to recruit 'print champions', to assist and provide points of contact for M2.

The print audit is expected to take 4 weeks to complete, and it will establish current printing habits, printing equipment and demand across the university, excluding student printing.

The review follows the approval of a printing policy last year, linked with the university’s Carbon Reduction Target and our sustainability mission, aimed at reducing consumable waste and improving efficiency.

Please may I encourage you to support this process and contribute towards the development of sustainable good practice.
