Apple Retail joined Royal Holloway student recruitment and fifteen other organisations for the Part-time Jobs Fair on Wednesday 3 October in the Students’ Union..
The popular event is organised by the College Careers Service twice each year in the Autumn and Spring terms Over 850 students attended and were able to apply for part-time work with a diverse range of companies.
Available positions included retail, IT, office work in the non-profit sectors, catering, tutoring and care work. Companies included Avon Cosmetics, Thorpe Park, Savill Court, Kallkwik and Global Personals.
Speaking after the event, Elizabeth Wilkinson, Head of Careers, commented:
“This fair clearly demonstrates how employers value the wide range of skills our students have to offer. Experience gained through part-time work can be a tremendous asset for students, not only financially but in developing skills highly valued by graduate employers.”
Students that were unable to secure positions at the part-time job fair can continue to access local vacancies on JobOnline. CV and Application workshops are available throughout the year in the Careers Service.
