There will be a vacancy from 1 October 2014 for one staff member to be elected on the Council as follows:
Member of the Academic Teaching Staff
The vacancy, which is for a member elected from among their own number by the academic teaching staff, arises with the expiry of Professor Clare Bradley’s second term of office on 30 September 2014.
Professor Bradley was elected in November 2008 and re-elected on 1 October 2011. As this is the end of a second term of office of a staff member Professor Bradley is not eligible for re-election.
The term of office of the successful candidate, who will also sit on the Academic Board, will be from 1 October 2014 to 30 September 2017.
As defined in the College Regulations “The academic teaching staff” means all persons holding appointments of Professor, Reader, Senior Lecturer or Lecturer at the College”
If you are interested in serving on the Council, or would like to nominate a colleague, please refer to the online documentation at the message link below for guidance. You must send your nominations, in writing, on the appropriate nomination form, to the College Secretary’s Office.
All nominations must include the names of a proposer and a seconder, and the nominee’s consent, together with a 150 word (maximum) statement about the candidate.
All nominations must be received by the College Secretary’s Office (FE28) no later than midday on Friday 28 March 2014
If more than one nomination is received an election will be held. The timetable for the elections will be:
- Friday 28 March 2014 (midday) Closing date for the return of nominations
- Wednesday 23 April 2014 Voting papers issued
- Friday 30 May 2014 (midday) Closing date for return of voting papers
- Thursday 5 June 2014 Votes counted
- Monday 9 June 2014 Result declared
