Notice of Elections to Academic Board

We currently have one vacancy for an Elected Member on the Academic Board. The nominations or elections to fill these positions will be held prior to the Academic Board meeting on 5 March 2014.

Under the provisions of Statute 16 (1)(d) the Academic Board includes a number of members elected for three years by the Academic Teaching Staff and the Senior Research Staff from amongst their own number.  No more than two of those elected may be Senior Research Staff.

‘Academic Teaching Staff’ means all persons holding appointments of Professor, Reader, Senior Lecturer or Lecturer at the College.

‘Senior Research Staff’ means all of the research staff of postdoctoral status and of three years standing or more at the level in the College or in a comparable institution.

The vacancy has arisen following Dr Bruce Baker’s departure from the College.

If you are interested in serving on the Academic Board or would like to nominate a colleague, please complete the nomination form (see below for the link to the form). All nominations must include the names of the proposer and a seconder, and the nominee’s consent.

The term of office of the newly-elected member will run from 1 October 2013 to 30 September 2016.

All nominations must be received by the Academic Registrar no later than noon on Monday 3 February 2014.

If more than one nomination is received an election will be held, the details of which will follow.
