Young Volunteers of the Year recognised

Royal Holloway Community Action team was presented with the award for ‘Young Volunteers of the Year’ which was signed by The Mayor of Runnymede at the local volunteer centre RAVS (Runnymede Association of Voluntary Services) annual Volunteer Awards event to recognise community volunteering in the borough.

Community Action Manager Phil Simcock said:

"This is the first time we have been not only been nominated but gone on to win this certificate of achievement and so are very proud that Royal Holloway students have achieved such a publicly celebrated status within the wider community."

The Runnymede Volunteer Awards were held on 5 December in Mitchell Hall at the Addlestone Community Centre.  The awards were presented to the winners for the nine categories by Cllr Peter Waddell from Runnymede Borough Council.
