Gospel Choir competing in UK finals

Royal Holloway's Gospel Choir has been selected as one of the eight finalist choirs in the annual University Gospel Choir of the Year Competition 2013 and will take part in an exciting evening of music in the wonderful setting of the London Hippodrome, Golders Green this Saturday 6th July 2013 at 7pm.

This is the third summer that the award-winning University Gospel Choir of the Year (UGCY) competition has put on a show,  boasting the top vocalists and brilliantly talented young people UK universities have to offer.

Staff are invited to support RHUL Gospel Choir when they sing for the prestigious UGCY 2013 title. Hosted by MOBO Award Winner Rachel Kerr, it promises to be a night of great entertainment, great music and family fun which is guaranteed to leave you uplifted and inspired! 

This year's line up

Imperial College (ICGC)  
Royal Holloway University (Royal Holloway Gospel Choir)  
University of the West of England (UWE Gospel Choir)  
Canterbury Christchurch University (Christchurch Gospel Choir)  
University of Leicester (Leicester University Voices) 

And back to defend their title, the 2012 champions: University of Manchester (Harmony Gospel Choir) 

With support from the Mayor of London, MPs and influential individuals from across the spectrum, UGCY aims to provide a platform for young people to really shine and showcase their musical talents.
