Royal Holloway is introducing an innovative new approach for staff to engage with the latest equality and diversity training.
Delivered entirely online, the course has been developed for the university by Marshall ACM, an e-learning consultancy with a wealth of experience in the HE sector, who are specialists in bespoke training to address ‘Diversity in the Workplace’.
The module takes approximately an hour and can be completed at a time and location to suit each individual. It is being rolled out by the Staff Development Team and staff will be contacted about it by email with the web link and login details.
Professor Katie Normington, Vice-Principal, Human Resources said:
“ It is so important that everyone working at Royal Holloway understands the negative effects of discrimination and has a firm grasp of their responsibilities and rights as a member of staff. We’re very pleased that our new e-Learning opportunity will support this by offering an engaging and flexible way for colleagues to become familiar with the latest equality legislation and the broader equality and diversity issues.“
Look out for an email invitation to take part if you haven’t taken part in equality & diversity training at Royal Holloway, or if it has been a number of years since you last attended any training.
The new training follows the recent appointment of Susan Lee as the Equality and Diversity Officer, responsible for co-ordinating the development of equal opportunity matters at Royal Holloway. Susan can be contacted at:
