I work in the Estates Team as a builder. My favourite jobs are when I’m working on the Founder’s Building. Just recently I replaced a load of tiles on the roof above the Founder’s kitchen and looked at all the stonework there.

I was a self-employed Bricklayer

Where do you live?

Mytchett, Surrey

What do you do to unwind?

Play rugby! I’m currently Captain at Camberley RFC and my position is Back Row – no. 8 or Blindside Flanker. I play for charity sides around the world with ex-internationals Bali Legends in aid of the 27 rugby players killed in the Bali bombings. Because I’m still playing at a decent level I also get invited into England Veteran games with ex-internationals and premiership players – our next England Legends game is at Exeter RFC on 24 March.

Who is your hero – and why?

Zinzan Brooke, such a talented Forward in his day – he was unique.

On the rugby field

What is your favourite film?

The Deer Hunter

What is your favourite motto in life?

Win or lose on the booze!

What’s the best part of your job here?

The variety of different jobs, and working with the lads at Estates

Finish this sentence ‘Not many people know this about me but….’

I played rugby for Italy in 1997! There I was playing at an international sevens tournament in Wales, up against Fiji in the semi final. A rugby agent was watching and asked if he could have my number and Italy were playing at Richmond the following day.

And the rest is history…
