The local Vietnamese community

There are a wide range of clubs and societies for international students, both on campus and in the local area. The Royal Holloway Students' Union is run by students and for students, and there are many events organised throughout the term.

There is also a weekly fresh produce market on campus, at which a variety of items are sold including fresh fruit, vegetables, and Asian food, that attracts many students as well as people from local communities.

South East Asia Welcome Event

SEAsiaWelcomeEvent2014On Thursday 16th of October 2014 Royal Holloway organised a Welcome Event, bringing together new students from Vietnam and South East Asia. The event was hosted by Tom Windle, the Regional Officer for Vietnam, and colleagues from the international team.

Over 20 students attended the event, giving students a chance to meet and network with other new students from their home countries. Students were able to discuss their first impressions of the campus, their accommodation, and the local area. It was also a great opportunity to find future housemates, share experiences and make new friends.
