 Royal Holloway has been welcoming students from Indonesia for a number of years and there are currently 9 Indonesian students studying with us, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Popular subject areas include: Geology, Petroleum Geoscience, Information Security, International Management, Economics, and Politics & International Relations.

Applicants to Royal Holloway come from a diverse range of backgrounds and we accept a broad range of qualifications to our courses. Each applicant is considered carefully on their individual merits, however please see below for the standard minimum entry requirements for students from Indonesia.

Undergraduate

Certificate of Completion of Academic Secondary School (Surat Tanda Tamat Belajar Sekolah Menengah Umum Tingkat Atas STTB - SMA)
Applicants with good results in the Certificate of Completion of Academic Secondary School will need to take our one year International Foundation Programme|, or the equivalent from another institution, before beginning their undergraduate studies.

Bachelor's Degree
Students who have successfully completed one year of a Bachelor's degree in Indonesia with good grades will be considered for direct entry to the first year of a Royal Holloway Bachelor's degree programme.

A levels & International Baccalaureate (IB)
Students who have taken A levels or the IB Diploma will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate programmes. Specific grade requirements can be found in the course finder| entry for your chosen course.

Postgraduate

Sarjana I (S1)
Students who have successfully completed a Sarjana I (S1) in an appropriate subject with good grades/GPA and at a reputable university will be considered for entry to a Royal Holloway Master's degree programme. Exact requirements will depend upon the programme you are applying for and the accreditation of the Sarjana I course you have taken, but most departments will ask for a GPA of either 2.8 or 3.0/4.0.

Sarjana II (S2)
Students who have successfully completed a Sarjana II (S2) in an appropriate subject with good grades/GPA and at a reputable university will be considered for entry to a Royal Holloway MPhil/PhD programme. Exact requirements will depend upon the programme you are applying for, but most departments will ask for a GPA of at least 3.0/4.0.

English Language

IELTS/TOEFL score

Students will need to be able to prove that they have a minimum level of English language proficiency. |

Students who do not quite make the English language requirements may be able to take a pre-sessional English language programme.|

 

Applying

For undergraduate students, applications are made online via UCAS. Students applying for a University preparation course or a postgraduate course apply to Royal Holloway directly.
