Applicants to Royal Holloway come from a diverse range of backgrounds and we accept a broad range of qualifications to our courses. Each applicant is considered carefully on their individual merits, however please see below for the standard minimum entry requirements for students from Brunei.
A levels & International Baccalaureate (IB)
Students who have taken A levels or the IB Diploma will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate programmes. The requirements for A levels taken in Brunei are the same as for those taken in the UK and these can be found in the course finder entry for your chosen course.
Students who have successfully completed a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate subject with good grades at a reputable university will be considered for entry to a Royal Holloway Master's degree programme. Exact requirements will depend upon the programme but departments wil usually ask for either a lower (2:2) or upper (2:1) second class Bachelor (Honours) degree, or an upper second class (2:1) or First class (1st) Bachelor (Ordinary) degree.
Students will need to be able to prove that they have a minimum level of English language proficiency.
Students who do not quite make the English language requirements may be able to take a pre-sessional English language programme.
For undergraduate students, applications are made online via UCAS. Students applying for a University preparation course or a postgraduate course apply to Royal Holloway directly.
You can find further information on how to apply in the Study here section of the Royal Holloway website .
Royal Holloway is pleased to offer a number of prestigious International Excellence Scholarships to outstanding Undergraduate or Masters students each year.
For information on other general scholarships that students from Brunei may be eligible to apply for, please see the international student scholarship pages.
