Study abroad opportunities for current students

There are numerous advantages to studying abroad during your studies at Royal Holloway. Studying abroad is a great opportunity to develop new skills and experience student life in a new environment. A period of study outside the UK will also provide you with the opportunity to:

  • Enhance your overall knowledge and understanding of your subject
  • Develop your intercultural skills
  • Have the opportunity to widen your network of friends and future contacts
  • Increase your independence and self confidence

You can participate in one exchange during your time at Royal Holloway. College regulations state that you cannot spend more than one academic year away from the College - so make the most of the opportunities you have!

“Overall, I had a truly thrilling experience and honestly believe it was the best year of my life so far. I learnt so much about living truly independently and having a taste of the American dream, of which I couldn’t get enough.”Chloe Meckaniuk Geography Mount Holyoke College USA 2013-14
