Royal Holloway International is pleased to be able to promote two new and exciting opportunities from the prestigious US-UK Fulbright Commission: the Summer Institute on Social Entrepreneurship and the Summer Institute on Environmental Stewardship.
These are for students with a passion for business or the environment to study at a US higher education institution during summer 2013. The Summer Institute on Social Entrepreneurship will look at how entrepreneurial skills can be used to solve important social problems. The Summer Institute on Environmental Stewardship will address current pressing issues in environmental studies.
The US-UK Fulbright Commission will cover all participant costs (flights, visa, tuition, accommodation and meals) and include a small day and book allowance.
The Institutes will provide:
- A place to explore important topics in social entrepreneurship and on the environment from a variety of standpoints
- A chance to develop real-world skills relevant to future work in these areas
- The opportunity to meet key actors, policy makers and leaders in each of the fields addressed
- An international experience through cultural activities to introduce students to the US, as well as joining students from 17 European countries
The Commission was set up in 1948 to foster mutual cultural understanding through educational exchange and is one of the world’s most prestigious award programmes. It operates in more than 150 countries and has over 300,000 alumni.
